“The Holy Spirit is the principal agent of evangelization: it is He who impels each individual to proclaim the Gospel, and it is He who in the depths of consciences causes the word of salvation to be accepted and understood. “       Pope Paul VI

“We must show others that there is a better way, the way of the Gospel”
Pope Benedict XVI

The term Evangelization literally means “to preach the gospel and encourage conversion to the heart and mind of Jesus."   Our Vatican and Diocesan leadership places Evangelization as one of the Church’s top priorities in our current time.  The Evangelization Committee studies and shares the Gospel, and encourages St. Bernadette Parish to become a growing, outreaching, faith community filled with passionate followers of Jesus Christ.

Mission Statement:
To bring the Good News to our friends, neighbors and families with the vision of transforming individuals and society through Gospel values. We study and share the Gospel, and encourage the Parish to become a growing, outreaching, faith community filled with passionate followers of Jesus Christ.

Catholic Evangelization has three goals:
• To bring about in all Catholics such an enthusiasm for their faith that, in living their faith in Jesus, they freely share it with others.
• To invite all people in the United States, whatever their social or cultural background, to hear the message of salvation in Jesus Christ so they may come to join us in the fullness of the Catholic Faith.
• To foster Gospel values in our society, promoting the dignity of the human person, the importance of the family and the common good of our society, so that our nation may continue to be transformed by the saving power of Jesus Christ.
