St. Bernadette School Parent Teacher Union

 

WHAT PTU IS ABOUT

The St. Bernadette School PTU provides volunteer and financial support for the enrichment of the children at our school.

By working closely with the school administration, as well as the teachers, we can provide supplementary educational programs, purchase additional equipment, and help fulfill classroom needs.

 

A great way to learn more about your school, get connected with parents and get involved in the process is to become active with the Saint Bernadette PTU. Parent groups play an important role in building the kind of supportive school environment where both students and teachers can do their best work.

 

WHAT WE DO

Over the past several years much of the PTU’s spending has been in support of new books for the School Library, Chrome Books for the Junior High, Recess Equipment for the Playground, Scholarships for 8th graders entering high school, along with assisting with other school needs. The PTU has worked to create family friendly social events that bond us together as a school community. Over the past year, the PTU has worked on fundraising efforts that will continue to support programs such as Catholic Schools Week speakers, Power of the Pen and many other programs that allow our children to grow as a Catholic School community.

 

Thanks to the assistance of our many volunteers, the PTU continues to support:

 

Adopt-a-Family, Back to School Night at the Heart and Harvest Festival, Basket Raffle, Book Fair, Box Tops/Educational Rewards, Catholic Schools Week/Open House, Family Events, Holiday Mart, Holiday Shoppe, Hospitality, Host Family, Kindergarten Events, School Social Events, School Supply Kits, Uniform Resale, Walkathon.

Please consider volunteering!

There are a million ways to help with the success of the school year. Some don’t even require that you leave your home! If you can spare a little or a lot of time and whether you work full time or not, we appreciate any amount of time you can give, and it is a great way to get to know people!
