Summer Math and Reading

Summer is a time for rest, family, faith, fun, and new experiences. It is also an important opportunity for students to continue growing as learners.

Research shows that students who regularly read during the summer are more likely to maintain and strengthen the skills they developed throughout the school year. For this reason, summer reading is a required component of our summer learning program. Reading helps students build vocabulary, improve comprehension, expand their knowledge of the world, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

In addition to reading, we offer optional math and language usage resources for students who would like extra practice. These activities provide an opportunity to review important skills, maintain academic confidence, and prepare for a successful start to the new school year. While these resources are not required, families are encouraged to use them as their schedules allow.

Our goal is to help students return to school in the fall feeling confident, prepared, and ready to learn. We hope you enjoy a wonderful summer filled with reading, exploration, family time, and plenty of opportunities to learn something new!
