St. Bernadette School’s Brave the Buzz events have raised an unbelievable $334,830 and shaved the heads of over 566 boys, girls, men, and women.

Ways to Support

  • Join the half million other people who have shaved their heads for this amazing charity by signing up as a SHAVEE and have your head shaved at our event. CLICK HERE to sign up!

  • If you have 8 or more inches of hair to donate, you can sign up to have your hair cut. Donations will be given to Children with Hair Loss or Wigs for Kids! Sign up here as a SHAVEE by clicking the JOIN US button, but just let Mrs. Sullivan or Miss Anders know you will be cutting your hair instead of shaving.

  • Not up for shaving or don’t have enough hair to donate? That’s okay! Join our event as a fundraising participant! You can still share your link with family and friends and raise money for childhood cancer research! That’s what it’s all about!

  • Click here to order by Monday, February 26 at 11:59pm EST

  • Girls may sign up to get their hair braided during the event by our older lady bulldogs and bulldog moms! The requested donation is $10. Sign-up at the link here by March 14th! When you make the $10 donation at this link, that will secure your spot. No other sign up is needed.

  • The Kelley family has been busy creating fantastic bracelets for our event! Click here to purchase your bracelets!

NEGU is for US NOW

It has been 10 years since our first event in 2014 for Michael Orbany. We dedicate our 6th St. Baldrick's event again in memory of Michael, a former student at St. Bernadette School. In October 2010, when Michael was in 1st grade, he was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a cancerous brain tumor. Over the course of a year, he courageously completed his treatments, standing strong in faith, hope and love. His cancer returned in 2012 and metastasized to his spine. Michael never let this disease define him. He lit up a room with his smile wherever he went. His attitude of unwavering faith and never giving up clearly defined his character, along with wanting to bring happiness to others. Throughout his journey, many people have learned from him and feel his energy to help themselves. Michael won his victory in heaven on May 1, 2014, about 9 weeks after that first event. You may still spot the signs around the school remembering Michael... NEGU is for US NOW (Never Ever Give Up). This was one of many comments and prayers which students painted on the windows of our school on the day that Michael passed.
